I’ll be using this blog to interact with you about After Loss and expand on some of the topics in it. I understand what it’s like to lose your spouse or partner and I know how challenging it can be to cope with this loss. I’ve been there, done that and I’m now living a happy life again. Through my involvement with hospice, I’ve also provided grief support to widows, widowers, and partners for many years.
There’s no right or wrong way to grieve, and there’s no set time when grief is supposed to be “over.” The first few months after a loss can be a blur. Making it through the first year is a huge challenge. Just when you think you’re doing better, you may have setbacks. This situation is normal and you’re not alone. This book describes how I worked through my own grief and includes examples of how people can address all types of challenges.
I hope that as you read my book you’ll discover many insights and practical ideas that will help you. I’ll be returning here frequently with new posts and responses to feedback from you.
